BFC relies on continuous discussion and consultation with our tripartite partners—the Royal Government of Cambodia, trade unions and the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia—to develop effective solutions for improving workplace conditions that benefit workers, the country and the bottom line.
Tripartite cooperation is a critical underpinning of BFC’s work. We convene government, trade unions and employers’ representatives to share ideas and experiences, and build consensus on how to tackle the most pressing industry challenges. BFC uses the discussions that emerge from these groups as a framework for our own work in order to build the most effective programs and services.
The key way BFC assembles stakeholders is through the Project Advisory Committee (PAC).
